The British School Integration Programme is a premier service offered by Home and Away Student Services, an award-winning youth travel agency with a decade-long legacy in the industry.
Since our inception in 2013, we have been dedicated to creating unique, enriching travel experiences for young people, connecting schools across the UK with international student groups. Our programme is designed to foster cultural exchange and global learning, providing UK schools with the opportunity to host international students, particularly from China.
This invaluable experience not only broadens students' horizons but also allows them to gain a deeper understanding of different cultures, languages, and perspectives. The programme includes a buddy system, where each international student is paired with a local student, facilitating language practice, cultural exchange, and friendship. This structure ensures both groups benefit from a meaningful experience.

Partnership Process
Our partnership process is straightforward and designed to ensure a seamless experience for both partner host schools and international student groups. We work closely with you from initial discussions to programme implementation, providing support every step of the way.
Register as a Partner School
Schools interested in hosting international students can register their interest, and our team will liaise with them to confirm available dates.
School Visit & Onboarding
Once registered, we will arrange a meeting to discuss your school’s participation, answer any questions, and ensure a smooth integration process.
Receive Booking Requests
Partner schools will receive placement requests based on their confirmed availability, giving them the flexibility to host at times that suit their schedule.
Hosting the Students
The international students will be paired with school buddies and experience daily life in a British school. They will participate in lessons, interact with their peers, and engage in extra-curricular activities where possible.
Recognition for Your School
As a valued Partner Host School, you will receive a Partner Host School Certificate, demonstrating your commitment to cultural exchange and international learning.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, the group will be accompanied by their school teachers. These teachers are happy to stay in the staff room throughout the day and will be available to assist with anything, including helping with any potential language barriers that may arise.
The contribution amount and its details will be explained to you during a meeting with our team. This financial contribution is intended to help offset the costs of hosting the international students, providing support to your school while enhancing the educational experience for your students.
Our groups typically visit during January/February and June/July, for 1-2 weeks. Please let us know how many weeks your school is available to host, and we will promote it to our partnered schools to match the schedules accordingly.
Our groups mainly come from China and Taiwan, although we occasionally have groups from other European countries. We will provide detailed information about the students prior to their arrival.
Yes, all students will have comprehensive insurance cover during the trip.
Typically, these trips are reserved for the highest-performing students, so most participants will have a sufficient level of English. This ensures that they can engage effectively in classroom activities and communicate with their British peers.
Although misbehaviour is very rare, the host school reserves the right to remove any students who do not adhere to school policies and expectations of conduct.
The students will be accommodated with local host families, offering them a truly immersive experience in British culture and daily life.
